An Expression of Myself

DeQuervain’s syndrome

Posted on: December 3, 2006

Yesterday I wento the Hospital to make some check with my wrist because of the pain I am feeling. and I was diagnosed with DeQuervain’s syndrome . The doctor gives me a Wrist Splint which helps me alot so not to move my thumb. To all of you out there who is using your keyboard always I would suggets to rest each hour and relax your hands. This syndrome happend to me after using my fingers for almost 48 hours with very little rest because of finalization of one of our project. This must serve a lesson for evrybody using the computer. I was diagnosed with the same last July. I could not lift my pillow. The only thing that worked for me was accupunture, that I dropped on November. Some times I have a very slight pain that remembers me that I must go back to the accupunture sessions.

It is really very painful to have this kind of joint problem. Actually I had finished 14 session with the phisioteraphist but still the pain is there. Since I do not agree to do the Injection method, What I am doing now is just hot compress. The problem is I don’t know who’s doing accupuncture in Saudi?
